AMSC offers shared programs and services to municipalities and their employees and is committed to continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided.

AMSC works to develop new shared service offerings to municipalities, their employees, and associates. In addition, AMSC monitors and influences government legislation, programs, and policies that impact services. AMSC helps keep municipalities aware of business trends and best practices that have the potential to improve local government.

AMSC Strategic Plan

It is an exciting and meaningful opportunity to be involved in planning the future of a new organization like AMSC. AMSC customers, the Board of Directors, and staff all helped to build AMSC’s new strategic plan. It is the result of listening to municipalities needs, envisioning a desired future, recognizing and expressing current realities, and articulating a strategic direction.

Through a sequence of decision points, the overall strategic direction for the continued evolution of AMSC includes:

• AMSC is the preferred service delivery provider for municipalities and other local government entities providing corporate- and networked-type products and services that meet the different needs of members;
• AMSC is competitive and leads in the development of a satisfied customer base, offering a broad range of cost effective services specifically designed for municipalities and other local government entities;
• AMSC leads in service designs and delivery methods for efficient, effective, and customized service using technology and customer self-service solutions;
• AMSC is a leader in the business community and practices good governance, including being functionally separated from AUMA while being seen to be elements of the same organization; and
• AMSC is a wholly-owned, sustainable corporation that is constantly aligned with the overall strategic direction of AUMA.
