AUMA Members with ACFA Class “C” Voting Privileges are Urged to Attend the 2010 ACFA AGM and Vote for AUMA’s Representative: Councillor Ed Gibbons

The AUMA Board of Directors is pleased to announce its nomination of Edmonton Councillor Ed Gibbons to represent AUMA as the Class “C” Director on the Alberta Capital Finance Authority (ACFA). ACFA is a highly influential Authority and AUMA representation on ACFA is absolutely vital to ensuring that the financial issues facing Alberta’s urban municipalities are being fairly represented.

Having served two terms on the ACFA, Councillor Gibbons is well acquainted with the issues and AUMA members must do their part to ensure that he is successfully voted onto ACFA. To that end, I am asking all AUMA members with Class “C” voting privileges, to ensure that they attend the ACFA Annual General Meeting taking place on April 8th, 2010 in Edmonton and cast your vote for Councillor Ed Gibbons.

We must ensure that Alberta’s urban municipal governments are well represented.

Thank you.
