ICF/IDP Workshops are being offered in locations throughout Alberta. The workshops are designed to provide the opportunity for representatives of bordering municipalities to work directly together and jointly assess what work and strategic approach is needed to complete their ICFs and IDPs by April 1, 2020.
The workshop is targeted to have the Chief Elected Official (CEO) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) from each bordering municipality attend. It is important to coordinate with your bordering municipality to ensure you attend the same workshop to start this important work together. Please coordinate and mark your calendars with the date and location you will be attending with your bordering municipality. “
Objectives of the workshop:
At the end of the workshop, the municipalities will understand the requirements of an ICF, have a draft plan on how to approach their ICFs and know where to get resources to assist in completing their ICFs and IDPs.
Workshop Design and Approach:
The design of the workshop is to have both rural and urban neighbours work together in the workshop to jointly assess what work and strategic approach is needed to complete the required ICFs within 2 years. The Rural and Urban municipal neighbours will be put into breakout groups and use the ICF guide to help assess what work and strategic approach they want to take to complete the ICFs.
