We are seeking strong leader who focuses on providing service excellence to the community and internal customers. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the culture of the division and positively contribute to the organization’s culture and strategic priorities. The Manager will act as a coach to the team, providing proactive leadership and supervision to technical supervisors that assist with the oversight of the divisional areas such as: Roads, Recycling, Solid Waste, Utilities, Fleets, Facilities, Water, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Water Management and Flood Mitigation.This role works with a high degree of independence in an environment that requires ongoing proactivity and initiative to ensure that all areas of the division are responsive and aligned to community needs.
To prepare for this position, you have post-secondary education in a related field such as engineering, project management, leadership, or a related trade. You have a minimum of five (5) years experience in supervisory/management roles, including 10 years in progressively more responsible roles. Knowledge within a public sector or an equivalent environment will help you transition you into this role. Additionally, your highly developed interpersonal, leadership, conflict resolution, problem-solving and decision-making skills will align well with your technical experience and knowledge.
