Public Works Manager (Re-posting)
Located on the bank of the Peace River in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Northeast British Columbia, the District of Hudson’s Hope is one of the oldest settlements in the Province with approximately 1,015 residents choosing to call the ‘Playground of the Peace’ home. Originally settled by fur traders and gold miners. The local economy is largely based on energy, forestry, oil and gas, agriculture, guide outfitting, eco-tourism, and local hydroelectric dams.
The District of Hudson’s Hope is current inviting applications for the position of Public Works Manager. Reporting to the Director of Public Works and Engineering, the Public Works Manager supports the planning, organization, and integration of the District’s Public Works, Utilities and Facilities. The Public Works Manager is also responsible for the District’s Occupational Health and Safety Program.
This position requires a technically strong individual who is capable of communicating effectively with employees, residents, customers and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will also possess demonstrated leadership skills in effective service delivery by keeping a balance between social, economic and environmental considerations.
