Job Description : 

The Town of Manning has an opening for a Full-time Water Treatment Plant Operator Level III. Reporting to the CAO, the WTP Operator III is responsible for the overall operation of the Water Treatment Plant Facility in accordance with the Provincial Legislation, Environment Protections and Enhancement Act, and the Town of Manning Policies and Procedures. The Employee will be required on an ongoing basis to attend applicable training, workshops, seminars and courses at the discretion of the Employer in order to facilitate job knowledge and performance

Educational Requirements 

The minimum level of education required to perform these duties are:

  • Completion of Grade 12 Diploma; or GED
  • Water Treatment III Certificate;
  • Water Distribution II Certificate;
  • Waste Water Collection II Certificate;
  • Waste Water Treatment I Certificate;

The minimum experience required to perform these duties are:

  • Experience working with computers and SCADA;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to deal with the public in a courteous, and diplomatic manner;
  • Sound mechanical skills and the ability to deal with emergency repairs.

(Equivalency of combined education and experience will be considered).

Wage will be commensurate to experience and training
