Alberta Innovates has announced a new program to fund “shovel-ready” projects that will accelerate innovation in support of GHG emissions reduction, increase long-term economic competitiveness, and stimulate growth in critically important sectors of Alberta’s economy. The TIER Economic Recovery Program will provide investments ranging from $200,000 up to $5 million per project with an expectation for some matching funds from applicants.
AUMA can help you optimize the benefits from this program’s funds. If you are looking to enhance or renew your capital assets and realize energy savings, AUMA’s Energy Management Services can support your organization from issue identification and auditing through to project implementation, including measurement and verification.
AUMA’s Program Director, Energy Management, Sandra Durante says:
“Whether you wish to generate clean energy for your facilities or ensure your buildings sustain a net-zero impact, achieving timely and validated benefits is key. Reliable preparation and becoming shovel-ready in short order is critical to access such funding while providing long-term benefits for your municipality. This is why we have partnered with a reliable, proven, and industry-leading energy efficiency implementor. Our program provides a simplified approach that will enable municipalities to participate in these and other funding opportunities.”
