April 27 Workshop on role of planning in intermunicipal cooperation

The Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI) is hosting a workshop on “What are the roles of Planning and Planners in future Inter-municipal Cooperation?” The workshop is on April 27 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm, at Fort Calgary.

The focus of the workshop will be on changes made in Bill 20 and 21 related to Municipal Development Plans, Intermunicipal Government Plans, Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks and Growth Management Boards.

The cost is $125 (plus GST) for members of APPI and $175 (plus GST) for non-members. The deadline to register is April 20. For more information, or to register, click here.

AUMA is one of the presenters at the workshop and we will discuss the impacts of intermunicipal cooperation on our member municipalities.
