Help prioritize environmental and conservation project ideas

Community Conserve is a website where municipal personnel can submit their environmental and conservation concerns and ideas as individuals and then can vote to prioritize those ideas and concerns as a community of municipalities. The research team then proposes project plans to address the top issues and ideas, and facilities the process of crowd-funding those projects.

Below are the current projects that are open to voting (note: no login is required):

  • Municipalities don’t have access to good wetlands data
  • Environment, conservation and alignment with regional plans
  • The impact of the new MGA on municipalities’ environmental responsibilities is unclear
  • Are there alternate ways of raising revenues for conservation
  • Information on environmental impacts of gravel extraction
  • Can municipalities tax conservation lands differently than other lands
  • Ditch reclamation for pollinators
  • Timeline study for Provincial water act approvals

Got an idea? Post your issues and ideas on the Community Conserve website. All project results are made available to all municipalities.
