Accepting Applications – Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program

Alberta Environment and Parks' Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program (WRRP) is accepting applications for projects that build long-term resiliency to flood and drought events. The program focuses on increasing the natural ability of the province's watersheds to reduce the intensity, magnitude, duration and effects of flooding and drought through natural watershed mitigation measures.

Many municipalities have benefited from WRRP since the program was created. Our members continue to tell us that watershed resiliency is an essential aspect of overall watershed management locally. AUMA appreciates Environment and Parks’ ongoing support in building greater long-term resiliency to droughts and floods.

Applications will be accepted until Nov. 30, 2021.
